Educational Programmes of Andra University

M.Tech. in Petroleum Exploration:

A four semester M.Tech programme in 'Petroleum Exploration' covering various aspects of hydrocarbon exploration from the geological field mapping to the development of an oil / gas field has been designed by the Institute and is introduced from the current academic year (2006-2007). The intake of students is on all India basis and the programme is aimed to train the fresh postgraduates in Geosciences and graduates in Chemical Engineering for successful entry into hydrocarbon industry.

The first batch of students have completed their II Semester and are presently undergoing practical training with stipend in the Oil Industry, like RIL, Cairn Energy, B.G., GSPC, Hardy Exploration, Alkor Petroo Ltd, Alpha Geo and Prize Petroleum.
